IRONMAN TRAINING PLANS

The Ironman Triathlon is seen by many as the Ultimate Triathlon challenge. It is one of the most mentally and physically challenging events for human fitness, made up of a 2.4 mile swim (3.8K), 112 mile bike (180.2K), and 26.2 mile run (42.2K).

A challenge of this scale requires a large investment of both time, effort and commitment to train properly and prepare for the event ahead. However a training plan from Romero Performance means you can prepare effectively without having a large financial investment in coaching.

Depending on your fitness level, the course profile and the weather on race day this event can take between 9 to 17 hours to complete. In order to prepare for a challenge of this level is not easy, a newcomer to the sport may need six to nine months to be ready, and even an experienced triathletes may still need four to six months.
